Hamilton Farm Golf club
Origin and Development:
Early 20th Century:
The vision for Hamilton Farm began when James Cox Brady, inspired by the English countryside, decided to create an estate in 1911 in the Somerset Hills area. This estate eventually grew to encompass thousands of acres, including what would become the Hamilton Farm Golf Club.
1921: The original main house of the estate burned down. However, other structures, like the magnificent stables built in 1916, continued to define the estate's grandeur.
World War II:
During the war, Brady's widow converted parts of the estate, including the stables, into an emergency hospital and rest center for Merchant Marine seamen, showcasing its utility beyond leisure.
Post-War and Modern Era:
1978: Beneficial Corporation purchased the property from the Brady family, marking a significant transition in its ownership.
1998: Lucent Technologies acquired the property with the ambition of creating an ultra-exclusive golf club. They invested significantly, hiring renowned architects Dr. Michael Hurdzan and Dana Fry to design two courses: an eighteen-hole championship course and a unique, USGA-rated par three course.
2001: The golf club opened to members, featuring not just golf but maintaining the estate's tradition of fine dining and entertainment in the restored mansion.

Course Details:
The main course spans 7,131 yards with a par of 72, designed for challenging and exclusive play. It has hosted significant events like the HSBC Women's World Match Play Championship and the Sybase Match Play Championship, reflecting its status in golf.
